Our Birth Center has been awarded its first star from the Minnesota Department of Health for being a Breastfeeding Friendly Birth Center.
Recognition through MDH’s Breastfeeding Friendly Birth Center Recognition Program:
Demonstrates our Birth Center's excellence in infant care and feeding practices Promotes our facility as supporting chest/breastfeeding parents and families Recognizes improvements in Birth Center care practicesMDH awards up to 5 stars as Birth Centers progress through 10 steps (2 steps = 1 star). Other steps are already in progress. Our goal is to earn all 5 stars as a Breastfeeding Friendly Birth Center.
