Melanie H. Dixon, MD, an obstetrician/gynecologist, grew up in North Carolina and received her undergraduate education at Duke University. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina and completed her residency as chief resident of obstetrics and gynecology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester Dr. Dixon joined the Women's Health Center of Northfield Hospital in August of 2005.

Dr. Dixon is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She sees patients at the Women's Health Center and at FamilyHealth Medical Clinic–Lakeville.
