Resident in Long Term Care Center Room Long Term Care Center

Northfield Hospital provides a 40-bed, long-term care facility where nurses and nursing assistants provide the highest level of nursing home care to meet our residents' needs in all phases of daily living. Nurse practitioners and physicians visit residents as needed and for regular evaluation. Socialization and interaction are encouraged through activities coordinated by a music therapist/activities director and other staff.

Our residents enjoy spacious, private rooms and important social interaction during mealtime in our attractive dining room with easy access to the outdoors. Meals are served family-style, with staff available to help as needed.

Long Term Care Center Dining Room Our holistic approach to care recognizes the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients and their families. Worship services for residents, family, and friends are held each Saturday morning in the ecumenical chapel. Bible study groups meet regularly as well. Mental health services are available through a consulting psychologist.

Our social services department offers resource and referral information and facilitates access to a large variety of services and agencies that may be needed, such as interim care while awaiting admission, financial counseling, crisis intervention, discharge planning, hospice.
