Northfield Hospital's newly expanded Breast Care Center is an integrated service that blends state-of-the-art technology with critical information and counsel that help patients better understand their diagnosis and treatment options. And it all happens in a comfortable, patient-centered care setting.

Too often it is the waiting the fuels the worry. At the Breast Care Center, breast disease screening, diagnosis and treatments have been seamlessly woven into the clinic setting, promoting both easy access and timely follow-up.

All of the critical services are assembled in one location. Our Diagnostic Imaging Department is fully equipped with advanced technology, including digital screening and diagnostic mammography that delivers superior images while minimizing discomfort.

Other diagnostic tools and services are readily available if needed. These include breast ultrasound, image-guided biopsy and cyst aspiration, referral options for breast MRI, and stereotactic biopsy.

Radiologists are on site daily to provide timely image interpretation and diagnosis, and surgeons are immediately available to provide consultation as well as to perform biopsies and breast surgeries when necessary.
